1. Why choose AoK PM Solutions?
AoK PM Solutions can assist you with each component of the build; we are more than just self-build project managers. We can evaluate your plans and ideas thoroughly and offer guidance on renewable energy, energy efficiency and electrical and heating systems to meet your NZEB building standards. We can assist with value engineering and cost budgeting, breaking down the build out into phases and individual packages by trade, and creating a project schedule. Most of all taking all the unnecessary stress out of a self-build project.
1. How does it all work?
We would all like to take advantage of the savings offered by building direct labour, but some might need assistance and guidance, the time or skills necessary to finish the job on hand. With AoK PM Solutions, you hire a dedicated project manager for a fee to oversee all aspects of the building construction and fit-out of your home project. The project manager will serve as your direct point of contact for all work, helping to plan, organise, and manage all of your requirements. The project's initial phase will be an in-person meeting to set out key objectives, finances, and any run-through any predetermined conditions that may be associated with the project by the county councils or other bodies. Following that, a thorough cost plan will be presented, explained and reviewed with you.
To help you receive the best costs and full transparency, the labour and material requirements are split down during the construction process and put out to tender to approved contractors and suppliers. We always aim to acquire 3 quotes, to allow us compare and exam the current market for value without dropping in quality. Our frequent interactions with suppliers and contractors ensure that you are always purchasing materials and services at the best prices available, which can help save you a lot of money throughout the project. The project manager will oversee all of the contractors, making sure they finish their work on time and to the highest standards. The not so nice part, a payment schedules will be created for suppliers and contractors so you are aware of when payments are due. Regular progress and cost reports will also be generated by the project manager to help you maintain control over the job. In addition, we can arrange and set up a safety officer and insurance for the client if required. Additionally, in order to give you enough time to make critical decisions, the project manager will help you choose and/or source finishes giving best advise on construction items (not interior designs ;)). The project manager will also oversee and coordinate the contractors through this demanding fit-out phase to ensure that the project is completed to your desired standards. 2. How much can I save?
The basics is we oversee the project in place of a builder. You could hire a builder if you wanted but a much higher cost.
Self-build projects can save homeowners 20-30% and that is proven! The length of time you want us to work on the project will determine the rates. This can include a full turn-key project, a furnished finish, or a builder finish all the way down to include landscaping and planting of trees.

We work closely with all our clients to make their budget works hard for them, setting prioritises in order to make the project as practical as possible for the budget available. We work tirelessly with all contractors and suppliers to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients to make sure everyone is happy.
